Braves Dialogue Series: I Am Me: Understanding intersections of gender, sexuality and identity
October 3 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The Braves Dialogues Series, sponsored by Campus Engagement and Leadership and the Office for Diversity and Inclusion, is an opportunity for our campus community to engage in conversations around the topics that matter to us. No matter the topic, all are welcome to come listen and share their opinion. In an effort to create a safe space for differing opinions to be heard and shared, we encourage conversation that is open and respectful.
I Am Me: Understanding intersections of gender, sexuality and identity
A person’s background is an integral part of the tapestry of their lives. Cultural differences, especially around gender and sexuality, may interfere with full disclosure about the strengths and weaknesses of a person’s past. This conversation invites the community to engage in conversations around the idea that the intersections of gender and sexuality are deeply rooted in how their cultural past has influenced their identities present, and impacts their vision for their future.
