SOCIAL JUSTICE SYMPOSIUM PROGRAM: 

On September 11, the Office for Diversity and Inclusion and the Social Justice Committee will present the 11th Annual Social Justice Symposium, shining a spotlight on “Dismantling Racism.” This year’s symposium will introduce our students to a local, state, national, and international issue and connect them to our keynote speaker, Dr. Karen Gaffney, who can give our students firsthand insight into this very complex and current topic.

We welcome you to attend the following:

  • Race in the Southeast: A Crucial Conversation about Discrimination “Open Forum, prior to the Symposium”. Tuesday, September 11, 1:30 pm -2:30 pm in the UC Annex Assembly Room
  • Social Justice Symposium with Dr. Karen Gaffney, author of Dismantling the Racism Machine. Tuesday, September 11, 6:30 pm in the UC Annex Assembly Room
