In order to be eligible for Homecoming King and Queen, you must have completed two semesters at UNCP at the time of the application, currently be enrolled as an undergraduate student at UNCP, have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, be free from any past or current judicial or disciplinary action, and will be required to attend PAC Homecoming Week events. Submit a complete application by the deadline (no late applications will be accepted). Each qualified applicant will be judged in their degree of academic excellence, demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities, and community service, which will be assessed through a series of essay questions and the submission of your UNCP Serve volunteer transcript to be evaluated by UNCP faculty and staff. During the interview process you will be evaluated on your ability of represent UNCP well.
Applications open Friday,September 1st, 2017; The application deadline is Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. Once the applications have been reviewed, the applicant pool will be narrowed down to semi-finalists who will be individually contacted to set up interview times. All semi-finalists will then be interviewed by a panel of University faculty and staff. Interviews will be held the week of October 2, 2017 (time and location will be sent via email or phone call). The vote of the student body, as well as scores from the interview and application process will determine the 2017-2018 Homecoming King and Queen. All finalists will be introduced during halftime during the Homecoming football game on Saturday, October 28, 2017. To maintain eligibility throughout the process, all candidates must be present for predetermined interview times and Homecoming Court field practice.
