The mission of University Center and Programs is to encourage and support the educational, social, and cultural enrichment of students by creating an environment of opportunity for student, faculty, staff, and community interaction. UC and Programs is committed to facilitating the education process by providing services, programs, activities and facilities that promote community interaction and enhance the overall development of students while contributing to student success and engagement.
The Chavis University Center and University Center Annex will be the hub of campus life, a central gathering place, for relaxation, social interaction, education, and to exchange ideas.
DIVERSITY The Office of University Center and Programs is committed to the promotion and affirmation of diversity in its broadest sense. Prejudice and discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, race, age, physical and mental abilities, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, and socioeconomic class are counterproductive to the professional ethics to which we adhere. The staff are challenged to reach out to traditionally under-served populations and become more thoroughly educated about the social development issues of a pluralistic society.
